make sure the views were seen from nearly every room in the house
The location and orientation of the house was well thought out to make sure the views were seen from nearly every room in the house. The build itself was more like putting together a puzzle. The material was a 4-sided square log construction made of cedar wood, filled with foam. The square log pieces came in bundles on multiple semi-trucks. The custom inverted roof line flowed smoothly and seamlessly into the 10 x 10 atrium in the middle of the home (this atrium was a show-stopper).
Forest Green Metal Roof and More
The customer chose a Forest Green standing seam metal roof that went so well with the cedar exterior home color giving it a warm, rustic and cozy appearance. The interior showcased the exposed large glue lamb beams supporting the roof. The brackets were left exposed for a unique and trendy look. Large windows and multiple sliding glass doors were strategically placed on every wall to bring in natural light and the expansive views of the landscape and mountains.
The build out included upgraded lighting, switches and 2 EV chargers. In-floor heating was a must for these homeowners, which we installed in gypcrete and then stained and sealed to finish. Interior doors were solid cedar, 3 panel doors. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets were custom made from beautiful cherrywood highlighted with hidden handles. Counter tops were white granite. In the master bathroom the customers requested a large elegant yet clean lined soaking tub. On the exterior back side of the house a large 12ft x 30ft deck was installed and finished with a top quality Trex decking built to last a lifetime.
