Do you find yourself needing a bit more room than what you have currently? Need space for your aging parents or possibly a child who wants to move back home to save money? Maybe just more space to entertain or a place for out-of-town guests to stay over night or a while. What about rental income potential? A barndominium or pole building with living space might just be the solution. We build Bardominiums or pole buildings with living space or additional dwelling. We can build these as a shell for you to finish yourself or build them turn key ready for living.
Custom ADU
This custom ADU was built to cover all of these needs. This space was used mainly for entertaining. Things like birthday parties, sports games, fight nights, poker night and just hanging out with friends. This particular build was built as an awning style off an existing pole barn. We added 1100 sq ft of living space off the left side.
The space had concrete floors, knotty pine clear finished wainscoting with chair rail and can lighting throughout creating a bright, warm rustic feel. The unit features included a quaint bedroom with closet and a full bathroom with laundry. The unit was completed with a large fully operational kitchen and pantry. The kitchen included custom cabinets topped with smooth finish and concrete counter tops.
The kitchen island was created as a one of a kind custom piece. The island cabinet base was one solid rustic unit covered with a poured in place concrete. Around the base of the island was an 8 inch tall custom made steel plate with nelson stud heads welded on. For the footrest, we welded a 1 ½ inch round rebar with the length of the island to the steel plate. In the center of the 1100 square feet a wood stove was installed. Behind stacked stone, and half wood rounds were added for the backing and mantle. The main entrance was double French doors below a 12ft by 10ft vaulted gable end vaulted awning. The exterior had a handsome 8ft by 10ft exposed aggregate concrete patio and walk way to the parking area.
First let me say I grew up in a family of union carpenters, and can without a doubt Caleb with JCS Construction is a master of his trade. He doesn’t cut corners and if your lucky enough to have him build for you all of the other tradesmen will thank you. I have seen a lot of junk built over the years a Caleb just won’t do it he takes pride in his work and is super good at it. He framed and dried in a 3400 sq foot house for me in 7 weeks that I needed done by winter and did so the right way. True craftsmanship by a true Craftsman. I get compliments on Calebs work all of the time use him you won’t regret it.
